Red Velvet, Heat, and Julieta Intergalactica – A Carnivalesque Night at the Textile

Photographer Ivelin Penchev

The old gymnastics room of the former Textile school has been silent for too long. Dust settled where bodies once stretched with passion. Lockers whispered stories of teenage mistakes, quiet crushes, cheap perfume lingering in damp air. But on May 16, the silence breaks.

Red velvet floors kiss the soles of restless shoes. The showers now séparés hold not steam, but anticipation. Dim lights don’t hide sins tonight. They highlight them. Shadows dance long before anyone else does. The building shifts – for one night – into its next self.

💅🏻🪩🕺🏻And at the core of it all: Julieta Intergalactica.

A DJ Diva, Julieta puts your soul into an internal conflict: to stomp, to let loose, to lay back into sensation, to give “hot” a new meaning, or stay in your head and ignore all electric currents that flow into your body with every beat dropped. A pretty obvious answer, isn’t it?

Electro grooves, indie cuts, kitsch pop and dark disco weave together, not chaotically, but like a well-structured conversation between desire and restraint. Every track chosen not simply to make you dance, but to make you lean in, connect, lose and find yourself, again and again.

Outside, Gabrovo wears its Carnival mask – loud, bright, celebrating. Inside, here, we take ours off. A softer, slower invitation: to peel back the layers, let instinct lead, and discover what happens when play meets poise.
